A Four Strike Rule will be used by Troop 7 for discipline problems. Only the Scoutmasters in collaboration with the Senior Patrol Leader can give a discipline strike. Any problem noted by other Scouts should be brought to the attention of the Scoutmasters or the Senior Patrol Leader. If in the judgment of the Scoutmasters or the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) any strike was given unfairly, the strike may be removed after a conference with the Scoutmasters and the Senior Patrol Leader. Tracking of these problems will be recorded by the Scoutmaster

First Strike is a warning of misbehavior. Can be removed only with the approval of the Scoutmasters, the Senior Patrol Leader or after one month of no further problems.

Second Strike is also for misbehavior and causes the scout to be refused the ability to attend the Troop's next campout.

Third Strike will result in a parent / Scoutmaster(s) conference. The Scoutmaster, at his discretion may request the presence of Troop Committee members or Assistant Scoutmasters.

Fourth Strike will cause the scout to be dropped from the troop membership. Serious behavior that warrants a fourth strike includes but is not limited to: use of drugs (including tobacco or alcohol), theft, vandalism, bodily harm to another, hazing, harassment, or starting a fire outside of a safe and proper environment. This strike will be brought before and decided upon by the Troop committee.

A fourth strike can be given at any time and does not have to be preceded by prior strikes.
