April 19, 2002	Troop 7	Oder's Lake	District Camporee, Scout camped across lake from main body of scouts. Rain and mud weekend with deluge occurring when camp was dismissing. Jon Repp and Brian Foster tapped out for Order of the Arrow. First use of large poles for pioneering project. Created large gateway with 2 tripods.
June 21, 2002	Troop 7	Houston Woods	Troop Campout, the campout which more than any other showed the purpose of "be prepared". Not a good campout. Was to be survival camp but no available materials or location. All scouts slept in the same tent. West Nile virus in area.
July 15, 2002	Troop 7	Friedlander	Summer Camp - Opening year for Friedlander, Ashes used on last night of camp to reflect on the week. Scouts decided to return next year. Gateway consisted of all logs 9 feet in the air. Sturdy enough for all 14 scouts to be on at once.

September 14, 2002	Troop 7/50, Pack 730/34	Springboro	9-11 Flag Retirement ceremony, Combination of all scout units in Springboro to retire over 150 flags. Eyelets were presented to participants as mementoes.

November 8, 2002	Troop 7, Pack 34/730	Friedlander	Troop Campout - Building of Troop 7 Bridge, Troop 7 with 2nd year Webelos built bridge across ravine as shortcut from campsite 10 to the beach. This is located between the scout craft area and campsite 12.
January 2, 2003	Troop 7	Sycamore St Park	Troop Campout - "The Barn", no tents used wood burning stove to get temperature up to 60 degrees. Performed service project to obtain free night in the barn
March 28, 2003	Troop 7	Old Camp Hook	Troop Campout - Crossover with Webelos. Rain and mud on Friday night. Ian tent had major flood. Had problems with patrol method for both patrols. Cleanliness was addressed during Sunday service.
April 27, 2003	Troop 7	Ceasers Creek	District Camporee, Camped in open field and wind destroyed the campsite next to us. Rick Repp, Sean Crane and Matt Brown selected to Order of the Arrow
May 17, 2003	Troop 7	Old Camp Hook	Pack 34 crossover weekend. Troop 7 was to build a crossover bridge and swing set. Torrential rain stopped all Pack 34 activities. Campsite turned into a mud pit.
June 21, 2003	Troop 7	Mammoth Cave	Troop Camp to Mammoth and Corvette Museum. Great weather for once and took a 4.5 mile trip thru the caves on the Grand Avenue tour. Many scouts wanting to go back and take the trip which requires climbing, crawling and hard hats.
July 13-19, 2003	Troop 7	Friedlander	Summer Camp - Four new scouts earned 21 merit badges. 2 Scouts earned OA brotherhood. We had a personality clash between 2 new scouts which was mostly resolved by the end of the week. The was a tornado warning issued where the troop ended up in a muddy ravine. The week ended up with Operation Jumbo Drench. Fire ashes were added to a different group of ashes which had their origins with Baden Powell and the original beach where the first Boy Scout Camp exists

September 20, 2003	Troop 7	Camp Birch	First campout were only scouts under 1st class attended. Most of their rank requirements were complete as well as a 5 mile hike,
October 18, 2003	Troop 7	Camp Birch	Stargazing weekend.. Perfect weather for seeing close-ups of Mars and other heavenly bodies
November 15, 2003	Troop 7	Camp Cricket Holler	Fist time back for a while. Two new adults running the campout due to sickness. Seems Pizza hut actually delivers to campgrounds. Sean got his head opened up by a can while playing monkey in the middle. No one died ;-)
March 5, 2003	Troop 7	Mammoth Cave	Troop Camp to Mammoth Cave area, HQ site 66. Troop participated in "introduction to Caving" tour. Spent 4 hours and 1.5 miles crawling, sliding and climbing with the "Fox Cave" area. Owl patrol went on a hike and found openings to 2 caves. Sunshine got his nickname.
April 24, 2004	Troop 7	Germantown Reserve - Old Mill Camp site	Troop two mile backpack trip to camp. Even though local campsite members used skills necessary to go on long term backpacking trip. Conducted 5 mile hike next day. Ashes presented to fire by one of the last 3 original Troop 7 scouts.
May 22, 2004	Troop 7	Germantown Reserve - Shrimps Hollow Camp site	The great Cicada campout. The 17 year cicadas came out in force to join us this weekend. Exoskeletons were everywhere and the hike was interesting when we scared a swarm of then into "attacking"us. Also on the hike, we were tracking a "deer" on the trail until we finally caught up with it. Seems the "deer" have undergone a transformation into an Black Angus Bull. Luckily no horns and we managed to escape with our lives. The scouts had their Saturday dinner hidden in the deep woods with only compasses to guide them to their next meal. Scouts almost had camp broke down before the Scoutmaster got out of bed.
June 26, 2004	Troop 7	Old Camp Hook	Return to camp Hook after a year. Weather was spectacular this year. The scouts went on a 5 mile hike to a secluded lake. The troop enjoyed the addition of a new scout. This also marked the last campout for one of the last two original Troop 7 scouts. Ashes presented to the fire by both the new and leaving scouts.
