How to become a Merit Badge Councilor

 

 

  1. File in the Merit Badge Councilor form for the badges you are interested in. You can list as many as you want. Staple extra pages if you need them

  2. Fill in the Adult Merit Badge Councilor Application (you can obtain at a troop meeting)

  3. Read the MC Training, 2 page document

  4. Take the youth protection training (if you haven't already taken it) at this link ... look in the grayed area at the right

  5. Turn in your application, proof of youth protection and MBC form to the advancement chair during a troop meeting

  6. Additional training information can be found at this link on the upper right side of the page

  7. Work with other Merit Badge Councilors in the troop if you have questions
