STEP 1: Scoutmaster Conference
In order to do a Scoutmaster Conference,
all requirements, except for Scout Spirit,
Scoutmaster Conference
and Board of Review, must be completed and updated in
Troopmaster. Please see
Debbie McCray (Advancement Chair) to update
Troopmaster and to obtain
a Board of Review print-out sheet to present at the
Scoutmaster Conference.
The scout sets up the conference with the Scoutmaster.
STEP 2: Board of Review Set-Up
Present the signed Board of Review sheet
from the Scoutmaster Conference to
the Advancement Chair.
The Advancement Chair will help the scout pick the Board
members. One member will
be either the Advancement Chair or the Committee Chair.
The second member will be
picked by the Advancement Chair. The third member is
chosen by the scout. See
list of registered adults on reverse.
STEP 3: Board of Review Confirmation
The scout
plans the Board of Review by choosing the date, the time and the
location. The scout
calls or speaks in person with potential members to check availability
and then e-mails (or
calls again) to confirm the Board of Review details, including the rank,
date, time and location.
A minimum of three Board members are required.
STEP 4: Board of Review
In order to proceed with the Board of
Review, all adults must be present and the
scout must be in Full
Class A uniform, including Boy Scout socks and Boy Scout
belt. The scout will be
asked to recite the Boy Scout Oath and Boy Scout Law as
part of the Board of
Review.
STEP 5: Board of Review Follow-up
Once the scout successfully passes the Board of Review, the scout is to
obtain the
board member signatures
on the Board of Review sheet. Remember a pen!
The scout then turns in
this paperwork to the Advancement Chair to be recorded.
